Sri Lanka Law College is the only body of legal education in Sri Lanka that nurtures, evaluates, and qualifies prospective law students to become Attorneys-at-Law since its establishment in 1874.

COMMEMORATIVE FIRST DAY COVER AND STAMP

The unveiling of the Commemorative First Day Cover and Stamp, celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Law College, took place on March 1, 2024 at the College's Main Hall.

The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests including His Lordship Hon Jayantha Jayasuriya PC, the Chief Justice of Sri Lanka and Chairman of the Incorporated Council of Legal Education; Hon Minister of Transport and Highways and Minister of Mass Media, Dr Bandula Gunawardena; Hon Sanjay Rajaratnam PC, Attorney General; distinguished Justices from the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal; Hon State Minister of Posts, Mr Shantha Bandara; Mr Anusha Palpita, Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Highways; Judges from the High Courts and other courts; Presidents' Counsel; Attorneys at Law; lecturers; and law students.

Dr Athula Pathinayake, the Principal, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed attendees on behalf of the Incorporated Council of Legal Education and Sri Lanka Law College. Further, the event showcased several documentaries produced by esteemed media companies, highlighting the rich history and achievements of the College.
