Sri Lanka Law College is the only body of legal education in Sri Lanka that nurtures, evaluates, and qualifies prospective law students to become Attorneys-at-Law since its establishment in 1874.
The Awards Ceremony for the year 2023 took place on February 21, 2024, at the College's Main Hall. His Lordship Hon Jayantha Jayasuriya PC, the Chief Justice of Sri Lanka and Chairman of the Incorporated Council of Legal Education, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
During the ceremony, students who demonstrated outstanding academic achievements in the April/October 2021 examinations, October 2021/April 2022 examinations, and October 2022 examinations were honoured with prizes and scholarships. This ceremony marked the first Awards Ceremony held after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Sri Lanka Law College functions under the Incorporated Council of Legal Education (under the Incorporated Council of Legal Education Ordinance No.2 of 1900 as amended) to administer legal education to persons who desire to be enrolled as an Attorney-at-Law in the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.
